...and Aung San Suu Kyi.
These people became famous for the good things they did... but how about people who do good things who aren't famous?
People who do good in the world but don't receive any recognition are usually called "unsung heroes". We use the past tense "sung" in this expression because in English, when we give someone praise, we say we "sing" their praises. An unsung hero is someone who we think deserves more praise.
Who is an unsung hero in your life? Tell us about her or him. Why do you think they are a hero? What good things did they do? Please make your response at least 50 words, and post it before your first class this week.
My unsung 'heroine' that I want to tell is my middle school home room teacher. (When I was 16years old.)
ReplyDeleteAt that time, I had high school exam ahead.
I wanted to go other area's high school and that process is very complicated.
Everyone including my family tried to stop me and persuaded to enter public high school like other most students.
But she respected my decision also helped me when I experienced frustration.
After quitted high school I had a hard time. Nevertheless, I did not give up studies because of her teaching.
To other people, she may be ordinary person not heroine.
But to me, she is an unforgettable benefactor.
I just want to say 'thank you very much' to her If she is still alive.............
My unsung hero is Avril lavigne. She is very popular singer! when I was 19 years old, I was very hard because I studied for university Entrance Examination. So when I was hard, I listened to Avril's songs. I could keep on even keel and was soooo happy only that 'Listening time'. Especially I usually listened to ballad songs. I want to meet her someday and if I meet her, i'll tell her "Thank you for singing!!"
ReplyDeleteMy unsung hero is my uncle.
ReplyDeleteHe always thinks about things from my point of view. In my childhood, when I was scolded by my parents, he sided with me. And He often helps other people. So i respect him.
Lastly, I like my uncle. Because sometimes he gives me pocket money!! ^^
I don't know what i say...ㅜㅜ
My unsung heroine is my mother.
ReplyDeleteMy mother believes me.
It's very important.
Truth is power.

And my mother takes care of me very well.
She is very thoughtful.

My unsung heroine is my mother. because my mother wants to do many things, especially she has outstanding passion and aspirations for academic achievement. but she helped our familly at the sacrifice of herself. She works late every night. Nonetheless she don't fall into despair. she wants to continue doing this. She said she will achieve everything her want if I and my older brother graduate university and get a job. I was proud of her for not giving up her dream. also, I realized challenge is beautiful and have anything to a willingness to challenge.
ReplyDeleteMy unsung hero is my close friends.
ReplyDeleteI want to be like them. Because They dream about the future and his dream for sure will try. Now they are going hard towards their dreams. I will be hard to imitate it. They are my friends but also my heroes.

My father is my unsung hero. He is a light house in my life. He very strict outwardly, but he is very warmhearted person. I was blamed him once because he was rigid with me and my sisters. But when I realize that his behavior is expression of affection, I’m really sorry. And I make an effort to understand him. He makes me a stronger and better person. This is why my father is my hero.
